My name is Paul Willson. I am a brown belt in Ju Jutsu (hence Not Quite A Black Belt), which is centuries old Japanese defensive martial art which teaches how to throw, strike, locks and other nasty stuff to an opponent.
I have created this blog because whilst there is great stuff on the internet about martial arts, sadly, there is mostly unhelpful stuff around which is more likely to confuse you and give you bad advice if you are just starting out. I want to help by highlighting what I think is the good stuff and advise what to look out for when it is bad.
